Our Story

My name is Bryan Mitchell, and I have been in the nursery/landscape business my entire adult life. I was recruited into the industry and attended my first plant industry tradeshow in 1987! The major benefit of so much time in one industry is that it has allowed me to develop amazing relationships with some of the most respected people in this business. I’ve sold growing containers, brokered plant material, and even worked for a startup internet company in the green industry.

For the last 20 years though, I worked for Universal Enterprises Supply Corp., a distributor of a wide range of horticultural supplies in Southeast Florida, owned by the Fuhr family. When they decided to close UESCO in late 2023 to enjoy retirement, it gave me the opportunity to do something I always dreamed of doing: owning my own horticultural supply company! I already had hundreds of customers who enjoyed buying from me and wanted to continue that relationship. Thanks to Jim Fuhr for putting in a good word for me with UESCO’s vendors, most of which agreed to allow me to continue selling their fine products. Swamp South Supplies is a labor of love. I truly enjoy the industry and the people in it. I deliver exceptional service, and I am ready, willing, and able to assist you with your horticultural supply needs!
